What our guests say about Buffalo Lodge...

Dear Jeff & Alaina

It was awesome.  It was so great to see my hubby so relaxed and loving to be with his brothers.  They had not all been together in 6 years and is was the best.  Have a blessed year and hope to see you next year.

~Mike & Brenna from Chatham, Illinois

What a great escape from the hustle & bustle of the big city!  Even all the kids were happy here!  We had a wonderful relaxing time.  Not one thing was missing.  Thanks for providing an amazing retreat!  We will definitely be back!

I can't help but think that you are still laughing your head off at me after I called you on Monday before we left home to see if I needed to bring my coffee pot.  I have never seen such a well stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly need.  Even the makings for s'mores which brings back memories of my daughter's girl scout days.  We have never had a vacation like this.  But my daughter from Virginia comes down here every year just to relax and get away for some R & R.  We really enjoyed your lodge.  It was very nice & we especially liked the hot tub.  I will recommend this place to our church.  Thank you.

Awesome place for fellowship.  Thank you for building such a place.  God bless you!

The stay at your lodge is just what we needed after a two-day, 20 mile kayak trip on the Eleven Point River in Missouri.  We truly needed the R & R at such a serene atmosphere.  We were able to dry out and get motivated for our next kayak adventure on the Buffalo River.  This is our first visit to the state of Arkansas.  We will definitely return.

Dear Alaina & Jeff,

I've only been to Colorado once in my life.  There, as well as here, are as close as you can get to Heaven here on earth.  The sounds were great.  Not just the sounds of nature, but the lack of sounds as well.  No car horns, no traffic sounds, the telepone never rang once, no news on the TV.  Pure serenity and peace.  I do have one complaint - I don't get to live here year round.  But then who would get to see all the love and hard work you folks have put into this place that allows us and others to enjoy your little piece of Heaven.

~Mike and Estalena from Irving, Texas

We truly had the most relaxing two days in 13 years!  Thank you so much for sharing your piece of Heaven.  The s'mores were fabulous and something we hadn't thought of.  Thanks again for the hospitality!

~Bryon & Brenda from Spring, Texas

We so enjoyed the cabin that we decided not to float this trip, but to enjoy the cabin.  We did a 6 mile hike the first day to Lost Valley, Big Bluff, and a five mile hike from the Compton trailhead to the Hemmed-in-Hollow waterfalls (on your recommendation).  Really beautiful.  The cabin is as wonderful as we had hoped and we truly enjoyed the peace & quiet in the midst of God's creation.

Wow!  I was not expecting anything as nice as what you have here.  All the amenities were totally unexpected.  I could tell that you have planned even the smallest detail - from the s'mores basket to the library to the hot tub and hammock...I could go on & on.  Sitting on the porch early in the morning with the birds singing makes one appreciate the beauty that God has given.  We even saw a fawn walk across the firepit - what a sight and while we were building our fire the last night, another deer ran just behind the hammock - mere feet from where we were.  Thank you!  God bless you both for tapping into the beauty He has created for us to share.  We will be calling soon!
